Rubric Criteria: This section describes the technology available in classrooms, library/media centers, and labs for all students and teachers including a description of access to technology both during the school day and outside of school hours.
The goal of this section is to describe current access to technology for teachers and students. Technology includes hardware (eg. computers, LCD projectors, document cameras, interactive whiteboards, and student response systems); software (eg. Microsoft Office, Student Information Systems, Accelerated Reader); and web-based resources (eg. Study Island, streaming video services).
In the narrative describe current access to technology for both teachers and students. List the types of technology that are available to teachers and students. Explain when teachers and students have access to technology. Explain where teachers and students have access to technology.
Guiding Questions
- What technology is currently available to students and teachers?
- Do all student groups currently have equal and appropriate access to technology?
- Is technology currently available to students and teachers before and after school hours? If so, please describe. If not, please explain.

Rubric Criteria: This section describes the typical frequency and integration of hardware and software to support teaching and learning.
The goal of this section is to describe how and how often technology is integrated into the curriculum to support teaching and learning.
In the narrative describe the current classroom activities that utilize technology resources and the typically frequency of use. Also, explain how teachers use technology to assist with classroom management tasks.
Guiding Questions
- How are hardware and software currently being used in classrooms at each grade level and in each content area?
- How is technology currently being used to provide learning opportunities, especially for special-needs students and students who require additional resources to improve academic performance?
- How is technology currently being used in the library media center and labs?
- How is technology currently being used by teachers and administrators to promote effective classroom and school management?
